Mexico is the second country the census covers in depth: 7,053 digital agencies and integrators. Its profile is very different from Spain's.
Three hubs
Mexico City (2,137) is by far the largest hub, followed by Jalisco (730) and Nuevo León (682). Then come the State of Mexico (353), Querétaro (265), Puebla (254) and Baja California (211).
Software: eCommerce and ERP side by side
The ranking mixes web, eCommerce and back-office software in a way we don't see in Spain:
- WordPress 498, Shopify 291, Odoo 246, SAP 212, WooCommerce 200
- Aspel 177 and CONTPAQi 162, the local accounting and ERP suites
- HubSpot 167, Microsoft Dynamics 365 132, Salesforce 101
- Mercado Libre 85 and Amazon 96 as marketplaces, Tiendanube 32, VTEX 35
Odoo: a consultancy business
In Mexico, Odoo is sold by consultancies, not by web agencies: of the 246 Odoo partners, 242 offer ERP/CRM integration and 226 consulting, but only 53 offer eCommerce. In Spain it is the other way round: 118 of the 162 Odoo agencies also build online shops.
For an ERP, CRM or eCommerce vendor, Mexico therefore has two distinct channels: the digital agencies of the big cities, and a network of ERP consultancies that already sit inside the finance and operations teams of mid-sized companies.
Shopify agencies sell on marketplaces too
Of the 291 Shopify agencies, 36 also work with Amazon and 33 with Mercado Libre: the marketplace is part of the eCommerce project, not a separate one.
The live figures, by state and software, are in the Mexico directory.
